Eagles win fourth straight game, now 4-2 overall

New York Mills improved to 4-2 overall, and 3-1 in the Park Region Conference, after the Eagles picked up a pair of wins last week.
On Thursday the Eagles defeated Sebeka by a score of 66-46 for their third straight conference win, before edging Browerville-Eagle Valley by a score of 62-37 on Friday.
This week the Eagles will hit the road for a pair of conference games. On Tuesday they will travel to Wadena-Deer Creek and on Friday they will travel to Menahga.
Thursday
NY Mills took an early lead and never looked back as the Eagles defeated Sebeka by a score of 66-46 on Thursday. The Eagles jumped out to a 33-22 lead at halftime and managed to add to their total in the final 18 minutes of action with another 33 points in the second half..
Six Eagles scored at least 8 points in the win as Megan Riedel, Cydnie Polman and Alya Olson each led the way with 12 points. Moriah Geiser also reached double figures with 11 points, while Bella Bauck just missed out on hitting double figures with 9 points of her own.
Kali Olson scored 8 points in the second half, while Anna Meech rounded out the scoring with 2 points.
Friday
NY Mills scored 45 points in the first half as the Eagles won their fourth straight game, this time by a 62-37 margin over Browerville-Eagle Valley. NY Mills held Browerville-Eagle Valley to just 10 points in the first half and continued to find success on the offensive and defensive end of the court as they were able to get some reserves extended playing time in the non-conference game.
Megan Riedel led the way offensively with 15 points, while Kali Olson also reached double figures with 14 points. Cydnie Polman scored 13 points and Bella Bauck hit a pair of 3-pointers to finish with 11 points.
Anna Meech added 6 points, while Mackenzie Gilster scored 3, Moriah Geiser scored 3 and Ayla Olson rounded out the scoring with 2 points of her own.
