Miller Street will be rocking on Friday night as Mills Country Market, Centennial Realty and Twilight Jams will be celebrating an anniversary party in the street. Beginning at 5:30 p.m., a portion of Miller Street from the corner of Seip Drug’s parking lot to Centennial Realty will be blocked off as the three New York Mills businesses will be celebrating their fourth and sixth years under their current ownership.

Latham Hetland, who owns Twilight Jams, said each of the three businesses were planning anniversary celebrations last year when COVID-19 brought many of the community events to a halt.

“We were all kind of in limbo for the whole year and at the end of the year we got together and said we should do one big party,” he said.

So on Friday, the three businesses will get together for an event for Miller Street to remember as there will be music, bean bags, food, beverages, the NY Mills Lions bar and a variety of games for people of all ages.

The event is free and the hope is to give people a reason to get out on the town on a nice Minnesota summer day.
