NYM man dies in train accident

A New York Mills man died early Wednesday morning when he was hit by a train near Highway 10 and Highway 106, just north of NY Mills.
Ronald Tonuci, age 29, was killed when a westbound train struck a pedestrian just west of the Highway 10 and Highway 106 intersection around 1:51 a.m. Wednesday morning.
With the help of the NY Mills Fire and Rescue, Tonuci was found dead near the railroad tracks. His body was taken to Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls for an autopsy and the death is under investigation by the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office and BNSF Railway.
