The New York Mills Millers broke open a 4-3 game in the top of the ninth inning to come away with an 8-3 win over Deer Creek on Friday night.

The Millers out hit the Deer Creek Shockers by a 10-2 margin with both teams committing a pair of errors in the game. 

The Millers opened the scoring in the top of the second inning when Adam Patron hit an RBI double to bring Brandon Kupfer around to score. 

Deer Creek took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the third inning when pitcher Austin Maneval hit a Shockers batter with the bases loaded and Bradsteen hit an RBI single with two outs. 

Logan Small tied the game a 2-2 in the top of the fifth inning when he hit an RBI single to bring Jonah Johnson around to score. The Millers took a 3-2 lead one inning later when Patron hit an RBI single to bring Derin Gaudette across the plate. Jacob Guck would cross the plate later in the inning on a wild pitch to give the Millers a 4-2 lead.

Deer Creek scored a run in the bottom of the seventh inning, but would get no closer as the Millers scored 4 runs in the top of the ninth inning to come away with the win. The highlight of the inning came on a Gaudette RBI single and Guck bases loaded double. Both hits came with two outs. 

Guck led the way offensively as he went a perfect 3-3 at the plate with 3 RBIs, while Patron picked up a pair of hits. 

Gaudette picked up the win in relief of Austin Maneval. Gaudette pitched 6 innings and struck out 11 hitters. The two NY Mills pitchers combined to give up just 2 hits.

NY Mills fell to Perham by a score of 7-6 in 10 innings on Sunday afternoon. 

After Perham scored on a dropped third strike with two outs in the top of the first inning. The Millers struck back with a pair of runs in the bottom half of the inning, thanks to a sacrifice fly by Brandon Kupfer and an RBI single by Adam Patron. 

Perham took a 5-2 lead thanks to a 3-run top of the third inning and another run in the fourth inning, before the Millers tied the game up at 5-5 with 2 runs in the sixth inning and another in the seventh inning.

The game remained 5-5 until the Pirates scored a pair of runs in the top of the 10th inning thanks to a pair of RBI singles. 

The Millers had a chance to tie the game in the bottom half of the inning when Brayden Ehnert hit a one out RBI single to bring Kupfer around to score. Austin Maneval advanced to third base on the hit leaving runners on first and third base with one out. Unfortunately, the next two hitters struck out and flew out to center field to end the game by a score of 7-6. 

Logan Small and Derin Gaudette led the way offensively as they collected 3 hits apiece, while Maneval and Jonah Johnson each collected a pair of hits. 

Small took the loss on the mound as he pitched 6 2/3 innings in relief of Caden Roberts. Small gave up 3 runs and 6 hits, while striking out 8 hitters.
