Frost graduates from RCTC

Matthew Frost, of New York Mills, recently graduated from Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC) at the end of Summer Semester 2021. Frost received an Associate of Arts for Liberal Arts and Sciences with Honors.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the College’s 105th Commencement Ceremony was replaced this year with three separate virtual Commencement ceremonies at the end of Spring Semester. Fall 2020 graduates participated, along with Spring and Summer 2021 candidates. 

Koshenina graduates from NTC

Kari Koshenina from New York Mills graduated with an associate of science in nursing from Northwest Technical College in Bemidji, Minn., at the conclusion of the Spring 2021 semester.

Northwest Technical College, located in northern Minnesota’s lake district, has prepared students for fulfilling careers in high-demand fields for more than 50 years.

Welter graduates from NDSU

Evan Welter, New York Mills, BS in construction management, was among the students to graduate from North Dakota State University in summer 2021. NDSU awarded 323 degrees to students.

Local students graduate from BSU

Local students earned degrees from Bemidji State University in Bemidji, Minn., during the 2020-2021 school year.

Among the local students who graduated include: Makayla Brauch, New York Mills, a bachelor of science in social studies education; Adam Haman, New York Mills, a bachelor of applied science in applied engineering; Lydia Irons, New York Mills, a bachelor of science in exercise science; Sharnea Marohn, New York Mills, a bachelor of science in elementary teacher education and a certificate in coaching and Ryan Angell, Ottertail, a bachelor of science in aquatic biology.
