Last Thursday the New York Mills Eagles cross country team traveled to Madden’s West golf course to run in the meet hosted by Pillager.  

On this very hilly course, the Eagle runners did very well with Simon Snyder placing 11th, Braeden Malone 13th, Breck Hensch 15th, Bryan Bohn 21st, Austiin Geiser 23rd and Jeron Witt 28th for the boys.  

For the girls, Jada Goeson was 3rd, Brielle Malone 5th, Mackenzie Draves 8th, Rosemary Laudenbach 15th, Macy Koljonen 17th, Kaitlyn Geiser 18th, and Morgyn O’Dea 21st. The girls team placed second while the boys took fourth. 

“On a hilly and tough course our runners did very well and had some impressive times. It’s great to see their efforts paying off in good race results,” said head coach Greg Esala. 

The Eagles next meet is this Thursday in Frazee.
