NYM students, community members clean up the town

In collaborations with New York Mills High School, United Way coordinated a Day of Caring on Wednesday, Sept. 15 in NY Mills.

This event served senior citizens, military veterans, and people with special circumstances within city limits. We served seven residents of NY Mills. In addition to the United Way, community sponsors included: Brunswick NYM Operations, Central Minnesota Credit Union, Farmers & Merchants State Bank, Klein Insurance & Financial Services, New York Mills Lions Club and Tender Heart Home Care.

The United Way wanted to thank the community sponsors and everyone who helped to make the event a success.

United Way’s mission is to improve lives in Otter Tail & Wadena Counties by mobilizing the caring powers in our communities. United Way improves lives by supporting programs that provide good health, financial stability, and a good education for families and residents in our community.
