Tennis team splits triangular with Alexandria, Foley

The Perham/New York Mills tennis team split a triangular meet in Alexandria on Tuesday afternoon.
The Yellowjackets defeated Alexandria by a score of 4-3, while also falling to Foley by a score of 4-3.
In its match against Alexandria, the Yellowjackets were able to win at second, third and fourth singles in straight sets. The second doubles team of Maya Radniecki and Morgan Smith was able to win at second doubles to help pull off the win. Radniecki and Smith secured their win by a 6-1, 6-3 margin.
At first doubles the pair of Jane Gudmundson and Trinity Covington lost a close 6-3, 6-3 match.
In their match against Foley, the Yellowjackets were once again able to win at second, third and fourth singles, but was unable to secure a win in the other fourth matches to fall by a score of 4-3.
At first singles, Covington and Gudmundson once again dropped a tough 6-2, 6-1 match, while Radniecki and Smith fell at second doubles by a score of 6-4, 6-2.
