Rosemary Laudenbach helped the New York Mills cross country team to a second place finish at Brandon-Evansville.

The New York Mills cross country team ran well at their meet last Tuesday. The meet was hosted by Brandon/Evansville. The girls team took second place with Jada Goeson taking third, Brielle Malone fourth and McKenzie Draves eighth. For the boys, Aiden Tumberg led the team as he placed 19th out of 46 runners. 

“We are happy to see continued improvement in our runners’ times. Some of our team members have cut off over 5 minutes in their race times,” said head coach Greg Esala. 

The Eagles will compete on Tuesday in the Park Region Conference meet held at the Whitetail Run Golf Course north of Wadena. Then they move on to section competition as they will travel to Bagley on Friday, Oct. 29 to run in the Section 8A cross country meet.
