The VFW Post 3289 Auxiliary meeting was held on Dec 9 with 13 members present.

There was one petition for membership by transfer.

A total of $200 will be given to Central Minnesota boxing.

A subscription will be provided to Guideposts Military Program.

The raffle drawing on Nov. 12 went well.

A total of 13 soldier care packages were sent out. Three packages were brought to the Fergus Fall Veterans Home.  8 gift cards were mailed to soldiers state side.

Our Auxiliary’s Poppy Display placed first in District.  880 poppies were used, 37 hours to assemble.

Karen Brasel received a “Good Job” for her organization of assembling the soldier care packages.

Survey results were given by Shirley.

Celia updated us on the “National Salute to Veterans” project and the District Project “Valentines for Veterans.”

A total of 3 Auxiliary members attended the District Meeting on Dec. 4.  

A total of 50 blue light bulbs were given out at the local Tree Festival for “Project Blue Light.”

The display our Auxiliary provided for the local Tree Festival brought in $80 for Santa Anonymous.

Draping of the Charter was done for Doris Pikkaraine who passed away on Dec. 3.

Ken Mathewson donated a fish decoy for the ways and means at Mid Winter. We will assemble a basket.

A $250 cancer grant was awarded.

Our next meeting will be on Jan. 13 at 6 p.m.
