Event is open to community not just C&C members

The New York Mills Civic and Commerce is hosting the annual Community Kick-Off in the city hall ballroom this year. The event, which will feature a number of speakers, will take place on Feb. 2 and will begin with social hour at 5:30 p.m. Appetizers will be available to snack on while visiting with various community members.

The meeting will start at 6 p.m. and all are invited to listen about the updates about the city of New York Mills. 

Mayor Marsha Maki will be providing a state of city address, NY Mills Chief of Police Bobby Berndt will be updating the public on various safety matters, and special speaker Amy Baldwin, who is the Community Development Director for Otter Tail County, will be speaking on the topics of economic development and housing.

The Community Kick-Off is an annual community event hosted to update the public on the successes, failures, lessons learned, and plans for the future that came to light over the past year in NY Mills.
