Benefit to be held on Feb. 5 at NYM ballroom

A memorial benefit for the late New York Mills Police Officer Ron Smith will be held on Feb. 5, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the New York Mills City Hall Ballroom. Smith passed away on Dec. 15, 2021 after a battle with COVID-19.
New York Mills Police Chief Bobby Berndt is accepting donations for silent auction items, which will be taking place during the benefit. For those who can’t attend the event and would like to make a donation can do so at Farmers & Merchants State Bank in NY Mills.
A free will offering meal will be offered to the community and the event is open to the public.
