Arvig is now participating in the federal Affordable Connectivity Program, making funding available to help offset the cost of internet service for eligible households within its service area.

Congress authorized the $14 billion Affordable Connectivity Program to replace the temporary Emergency Broadband Benefit. The new program offers expanded eligibility criteria and a monthly discount on internet services of up to $30 per month.

Households enrolled in the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program as of Dec. 31, 2021, will continue to receive their current monthly benefit until March 1, 2022. Eligible households residing on qualifying Tribal lands will continue to receive up to $75 monthly.

“This federal investment in broadband will go a long way toward ensuring families in the Arvig service area have the internet connection they rely on for work, school and daily life,” said David Arvig, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Arvig. “We encourage families to learn more about this program and find out if they qualify.”
