Last Tuesday, the New York Mills sixth graders launched their hot air balloons that they have been working on for a number of weeks into the warm March atmosphere. All 24 balloons were launched into the sky with help of a portable heater. A crowd of elementary students and staff watched as the balloons made their ascent and their eventual descent into NY Mills.
