Starting at noon on March 27, in the city hall ballroom, the East Otter Tail Chapter of the Minnesota Darkhouse and Angeling Association will be holding an event for families with kids of all ages and indiviuals who would like to support local fishing, hunting and shooting sports. The event will be held in the city hall ballroom.

Tickets are dwindling in availability, but they can be found at businesses around New York Mills, including Ryan’s Repair.

A free meal will be available for all ticket-holders, as well as plenty of activities for each family member. There will be kids games for those with children, but don’t miss out on the fun geared toward adults with the meat and gun raffles among other offerings.

Proceeds from ticket sales will go towards various groups around the area, including New York Mills, Perham, Henning, and Sebeka shooting sports. Local fishing leagues and non-profits that would like to take kids fishing will also be receiving funding from this event. A full list of those the association donates to can be found in the city hall ballroom during the event.

“We try to help the young more than anything,” said Wayne Leaderbrand, President of the EOT Chapter, about where the funds ultimately go.
