Murder, suicide reported in rural Deer Creek

Sheriff deputies, on May 2, reported a murder-suicide in Compton Township near Deer Creek in the extreme eastern section of Otter Tail County.
An investigation of two deaths on April 29 determined that 25-year-old Isaac Malone shot and killed his wife, 25-year-old Ariel Malone, at their residence and then took his own life.
The Otter Tail County Sheriff Office said that autopsies were completed by the Midwest Medical Examiner Office. Deputies added that the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension assisted with the investigation.
