Track team competes at Park Region Conference meet

Jada Goeson took second place in a pair of events as the New York Mills Eagles competed in the Park Region Conference meet on Tuesday in Sebeka.
Goeson took second place in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:30.48, as well as second in the 1600-meter run with a time of 5:55.25.
Ashley Kassa took fourth place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 14.24. She was just .4 seconds out of first place in the event.

Katherin Garcia continued the Eagles strong showing in the sprint races as she took fifth place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 29.62.
Payton Lausten took fourth place in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 53.80. She was just .22 seconds out of third place in the event.
In the field events, Bella Bauck finished in fifth place in the long jump with a jump of 14’6 1/2”.
In the distance races, Brielle Malone took fourth place in the 3200-meter run with a time of 13:16.50.
As a team, the girls finished in sixth place with 44 points. Wadena-Deer Creek won the meet with a total of 141 points. Pillager won the mens meet with a score of 137.
