Local students graduate from MSU-Moorhead

Several local students recently graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead. A total of 800 students received degrees as part of the commencement ceremony at Nemzek Fieldhouse. 

Among the local students to receive a degree was Brennen Maijala, Project Management, New York Mills  and Blake Roberts, Summa Cum Laude Economics, New York Mills.

Two students graduate from MSU-Mankato

Minnesota State University, Mankato awarded 2,797 degrees to 2,467 students at the end of the spring 2022 semester.

  Ceremonies were held in Taylor Center’s Bresnan Arena on the Minnesota State Mankato campus.

Among the local students to receive a degree was Jordan Brink, Deer Creek, RN Baccalaureate Completion.

President’s, Dean’s List announced

Minnesota State Community and Technical College has named 518 students to its President’s List and 506 students to its Dean’s List for the 2022 Spring Semester.

  Students on the President’s List earned a grade point average of 4.0 while completing a minimum of six college-level credits and 75 percent of the courses in which they enrolled for the semester.

  Students on the Dean’s List earned a GPA of 3.50 to 3.99 while completing a minimum of six college-level credits and 75 percent of the courses in which they enrolled for the semester.

Jamestown 

announces Dean’s List

Three local students were named to the University of Jamestown Spring Semester Dean’s List at the University of Jamestown.

Students are named to the Dean’s List for maintaining a semester GPA of 3.50 or better. Local students named to the list include: Karli Kawlewski, New York Mills; Daunte Leiran, New York Mills and Kenna Salo, New York Mills.

Salo earns degree from Jamestown

Kenna Salo was among the students honored during commencement ceremonies May 7, 2022, in the University of Jamestown’s Harold Newman Arena.

Salo, of New York Mills, graduated Magna Cum Laude after earning a Bachelor of Arts while majoring in Elementary Education.

The University of Jamestown was established in 1883 and is ranked as a top tier regional school in US News and World Report and a top Midwestern school in The Princeton Review. The school features development of the whole person through its distinctive Journey to Success experience.

NDSU names spring Dean’s List

Several local students were among the 1,636 North Dakota State University students to be placed on the spring 2022 Dean’s List.

A student must earn a 3.50 grade point average or higher and be enrolled in at least nine class credits to qualify for the summer list.

Local students named to the list include: Ashley Herr, Bluffton, Finance; Autumn Grasswick, Deer Creek, Pharmacy; Lexi Pierce, Deer Creek, Nursing and Leighton Rach, Ottertail, Marketing.

Jordan named to UMC Dean’s List

Brianna Jordan, New York Mills, has been named to the spring semester 2022 Dean’s List were announced recently by the Office of the Registrar. The U of M Crookston is one of the most respected career-oriented, technology-based universities in the nation.

To qualify for a place on the Dean’s List, students must complete 12 or more letter-graded (A-F) credits while attaining a 3.66 grade point average. The Crookston campus is the online leader in the University of Minnesota system and the only campus providing every full-time student with a laptop computer.
