New York Mills freshman Jada Goeson finished in 14th place at the state track meet on June 9. The state track meet was held at St. Michael-Albertville High School.

Goeson qualified for state with a time of 2:26.83 at the Section 6A meet. At the state meet she beat her personal best with a time of 2:26.14. She was just 3 seconds away from qualifying for the finals at the state meet.

Goeson was the lone NY Mills track team member to advance to the state meet and will be just a sophomore next season for the Eagles.
