ATV rolled in a ditch near 402nd Ave., Highway 210

Sheriff deputies, in coordination with the Minnesota State Highway Patrol, reported a serious injury July 23 during an ATV accident near Clitherall. The crash took place close to 8:30 p.m.

Authorities said a Clitherall woman was driving the ATV in a ditch close to State Highway 210 when the ATV rolled near 402nd Avenue. The driver was later treated for life-threatening injuries.

Area news media outlets identified the victim as 23-year-old Natasha Best. A male passenger, from Little Falls, received non-life-threatening injuries.

Pedestrian injured

A pedestrian was injured about 10:30 p.m. on July 22 near the intersection of Highways 72 and 145, near the southwest side of Otter Tail Lake and north of Battle Lake.

Janet Klosterman of Mooreton, North Dakota, was injured when struck by a vehicle driven by a man from Richville. She sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital by Henning Ambulance.

Assisting the county sheriff’s office was the Minnesota State Highway Patrol and Battle Lake Rescue.
