School officially got underway on Tuesday morning for students in the New York Mills School District. The students were greeted to school by NY Mills School Superintendent Blaine Novak who welcomed students with a hi-five, fist bump and a smile. Opening day enrollment at the high school was 342 students, which was an increase of two students from last year. The opening day enrollment in the elementary school was 370 students, which was down 14 students from last year. The incoming kindergarten class is up two students from last year with an enrollment of 66 students.
