The September New York Mills Musicians of the Month are Aubrie Vanderbeek and Oakley Kern from fifth grade and Sawyer Anderson and Grayson Meyer from sixth grade. NY Mills band instructor Cambria Jacobs said Vanderbeek helped new clarinets learn how to assemble their instruments. Kern is always ready to play while staying respectful. Anderson has grown as a flute player tremendously in the last year and shows great responsibility. Meyer has shown his musicianship by switching instruments and is always ready to help out where it’s needed.
