Trinity Lutheran Church in New York Mills is inviting the community to their upcoming family movie night.

The movie will be shown in the sanctuary at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 20 with snacks available to cozy up with a warm batch of popcorn before the movie. A free-will donation will be accepted, but isn’t necessary.

The movie shown will be “Legacy Peak,” which is a brand-new 2022 Affirm Originals film. The movie shows pilot Jason (Lucas Black) planning the perfect outing into the rugged moutains to propose to his fiancee and win the hearts of soon-to-be father-in-law and step-children.

In an unfortunate turn of events, the plane carrying Jason and his two future step-children, crashes into a flock of birds and goes down.

Trying to survive both the crashlanding and the elements of untamed wilderness, Jason and his fiancee’s two kids have to hike a for three days to their pre-planned destination, testing both their faith and relationships.

Lucas Black, who plays Jason might be a familiar face if you are an NCIS: New Orleans fan as he plays Agent LeSalle in the Louisiana-based crime drama.

The movie runs just over an hour and a half and is a good family movie to share a Sunday evening with a family.
