Sheriff deputies, on Nov. 15, reported that a driver was injured in a one-vehicle accident near the intersection of 485th Street and 275th Avenue, west of Vergas. The accident took place at 11:51 a.m.

Deputies said the driver veered off the right side of a snow-covered road during slippery conditions. The ditch slope caused the vehicle to overturn on its top once hitting the ditch.

A 44-year-old male became trapped in his vehicle, upside down, but he ultimately was able to free himself and exit the vehicle with neck and back pain. He was transported to the hospital in Perham.
