Storm leads to vehicles skidding off county roads

Snowfall and icy roads on Wednesday, March 1, resulted in no fewer than 18 vehicles skidding off roadways into ditches across Otter Tail County. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries reported.
Moderate to heavy snow fell throughout Minnesota.
As of 7:30 a.m. the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) map showed most of the major roads in northwestern and parts of central Minnesota as completely snow-covered.
MnDOT anticipated trouble could be afoot, warning drivers Tuesday about the approaching snow and warning of the potential of a slow commute.
