The New York Mills Farmer’s Market has expanded its hours for the rest of the season. The Farmer’s Market will be open for a few hours on Wednesdays in addition to their regular hours.

This means that fresh fruit, vegetables, and goodies can be sourced locally twice a week. Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Central Park Shelter and Wednesday hours will be in the same place from 3-6 p.m.

Shannon Baril, organizer, said that they were located at the Finn Creek Festival on Saturday, Aug. 19, but otherwise the rest of the Farmer’s Market days will be at the picnic shelter at Central Park. This allows a central location for all produce seekers.

New vendors have joined the group this summer and are enthusiastic about selling their product until the October weather eventually freezes them out. All are invited to take a look and find something healthy, locally grown, and nutritious to feed their family this summer season.
