The annual Finn Creek Festival was held over the weekend at the Finn Creek Open Air Museum. The event featured a number of special displays like one of the Finnish Army (right), as well as Finnish-inspired food and games throughout the weekend. The weekend also included an auction, antique tractor pull and a number of buildings that were open to showcase the early days of Finnish settlement in the area. Below right: The saw mill was hard at work during the Finn Creek Festival over the weekend. Below left: Finn Creek has been honored with the 2023 Historic Preservation Award by the Fergus Falls Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The open air museum features a number of restored buildings and historic pieces of material from the early days of the greater New York Mills area. Accepting the award on Saturday morning was members of the Finn Creek Board of Directors.
