Morgan O’Dea finished in 10th place at the New York Mills cross country meet at Sonnenberg Trails last week.

The New York Mills cross country team hosted a four team meet at Sonnenberg Trails on Thursday morning. The Eagles welcomed Wadena-Deer Creek, Parkers Prairie and Alexandria Community College. 

Elijah Geiser led the charge for the boys cross country team on Thursday morning with a fourth place finish at the cross country meet at Sonnenberg Trails.

In the 3200-meter run, Maggie Weller took fourth place overall with a time of 18:20, while Katherin Garcia took sixth place in the varsity run with a time of 23:57. Morgan O’Dea also competed for the Eagles and finished in 10th place in the varsity race with a time of 26:13. 

On  the boys side, Dawson Seelhammer took sixth place in the 3200-meter run with a time of 16:45. In the varsity race, Elijah Geiser finished in fourth place with a time of 20:54, while Jeron Witt took 11th place with a time of 25:05.

3200 Run 4. Maggie Weller 18:20.53

5k Run: 6. Katherin Garcia 23:57.65, 10. Morgan O’Dea 26:13.43

BOYS:

3200 Run: 6. Dawson Seelhammer 16:45.12

5k Run: 4. Elijah Geiser 20:54.49, 11. Jeron Witt 25:05.43

Katherin Garcia took sixth place individually at the opening cross country meet of the season last week.
Jeron Witt took 11th place at the annual cross country meet at Sonnenberg Trails north of New York Mills.
