The Perham/New York Mills tennis team won a pair of tough three set matches in doubles, and came away with three wins in singles matches to edge Park Rapids by a score of 5-2 on Tuesday night. 

At first doubles, Aubry Zimmerman and Morgan Smith overcame a 4-6 loss in the first game to defeat Park Rapids’ Emmy Goochey and Abby Runyan 6-0, 6-4 to come away with the 2-1 win. 

At third doubles, Reese Hunt and Lucy Wallgren won the first game by a score of 6-3, before falling in the second game by a score of 4-6. They were able to ice their match and the win for the Yellowjackets by a score of 6-1 in the third game.

In singles matches, Kaia Anderson won her first singles match 6-2, 6-2; Alayna Moe won her second singles match by a score of 6-2, 7-5 and fourth singles player Autumn Branchaud won her match by a score of 6-3, 6-1.
