Coronation set for Monday afternoon at NYM

School spirit will be on full display next week as the New York Mills Eagles will be celebrating homecoming week. 

The week will kick off on Monday with the annual homecoming coronation in the afternoon with five candidates competing for the title of homecoming king and queen. Among the candidates for queen will be: Grace Brasel, Leah Swenson, Kyra Haman, Morgan Guck and Haley Korkowski. King candidates include: Carter Hudalla, Sam Kopveiler, Teagan Lausten, Bode Roberts and DaShaun Robinson. Coronation will be held at 2 p.m. in the auditorium and is open to all students and guests.

The dress up theme will be PJ day.

NY Mills students will be going back in time, to the 1980’s that is, on Tuesday as the dress up theme will be 80’s day.

On Wednesday the dress up theme will be country club vs. country day and students will be doing their best Taylor Swift impression for Swifties Day on Thursday. 

Homecoming week will wrap up on Friday with the spirit breakfast, elementary pepfest/red wagon parade in the morning and a senior high pepfest beginning at 12:45 p.m. 

Students will be showing off their school spirit for spirit day on Friday. The week will come to a close with the football game on Friday night and school dance to follow at the school.
