The Perham/New York Mills divers continued their dominance above the pool this fall by capturing the top two spots at the Mid-State Conference championship on Friday night in Park Rapids.

Brittney Lorentz took first place in diving with a score of 412.35 to edge teammate Avery McAllister with a score of 363.80 who finished in second place. 

In addition to the divers, Taylor Ziemke tied Avery Schueller of Park Rapids in the 50-yard freestyle as both swimmers finished with times of 25.52. She also captured the top spot in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:45.88 to win the race by just under 5 seconds. 

Elle McDonald won one of the most exciting races of the night when she captured first place in the 100-yard backstroke. She won the meet by just .08 seconds over Amelia Bagstad of Park Rapids.
