The annual Veterans Day program was held at New York Mills School on Wednesday morning. The event was sponsored by the NY Mills VFW and VFW Auxiliary and included the awarding of Quilts of Valor to Jerry Anderson, Jon Underdahl and Carol Thompson, as well as musical selections by the choir and band. Winners from the Voice of Democracy, as well as the Patriot’s Pen were recognized. Autumn Salo was among the Patriot’s Pen award winners who read their essay last week.
