Three advance to state swim meet

Three Perham/New York Mills swimmers have advanced to the state swimming meet.
Brittney Lorentz and Avery McAllister once again led the charge with a section championship for Lorentz and a third place finish for McAllister.
In addition to the divers, Taylor Ziemke qualified for state in the 50-yard freestyle on Saturday as she set a new school record with a time of 24.88 to capture first place in the event. She also finished in third place in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:38.77.
The state swimming and diving competition will be held from Thursday through Saturday at the University of Minnesota Jean K. Freeman Aquatics Center.
