New York Mills will get a better grasp of the overall condition of its streets as part of a new plan unveiled by Apex Engineering last week.
During its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday night, the NY Mills City Council approved a proposal from Apex Engineering to develop a city street pavement evaluation and maintenance plan report. The report will provide an evaluation of city street conditions, which will include an assessment of the condition of street pavements and a short-term maintenance plan.
The goal of the plan is to not only create an overall assessment of street conditions, but to also develop a maintenance plan to increase to longevity of the city streets. The plan will allow the city to take a more long-term planning approach to city streets and subsequent infrastructure. The report is likely to be completed by April or May of 2024.
