The Eagles opened the week with a 74-42 loss on the road against Browerville-Eagle Valley on Monday night. Teagan Lausten led the Eagles offensively with 12 points, while Jacob Thorsrud scored 11 points and pulled down 9 rebounds.

On Friday the Eagles fell to 0-5 overall with a 56-34 loss to the Menahga Braves. The Eagles hung right with the Braves for much of the game, before a late Braves run in the second half put them in front for good. “Overall a very challenging week. We are searching for guys that can put the ball in the hoop and that has been an emphasis since summer. Taking care of the ball is another point of emphasis,” said head coach Mike Baune. “I was really proud of our defensive effort versus Menahga as it gave us a chance to win, but we just couldn’t make enough open shots.”

This week the Eagles hosted Parkers Prairie on Monday night, before traveling to the Sebeka Tournament on Thursday and Friday.
