Fred Liljegren and David O’Brien are returning to the New York Mills Public Library for another meet-and-greet surrounding their most recent book, “Fredtime Stories II: More Stories From a Mostly Rural Life.” This book comes on the heels of the sequel, “Fredtime Stories: A Mostly Rural Life.”

Liljegren’s tales come from his own life, which have been rather interesting. He finds humor in day-to-day life and makes the most of the opportunities his life has afforded him, including traveling the world. Each and every opportunity lends its own stories and experiences to share.

Liljegren lives on a farm in rural Parkers Prairie, with his wife, Claudia. He is a hobby farmer as well as fixer and flyer.

O’Briene lives in Alexandria, Minn. with his wife, Julie, and four children. He teaches social studies at Parkers Prairie High School and Central Lakes College.

While everyone can find the joy in everyday life, sometimes it’s worthwhile just to read about it. Liljegren and O’Brien will be on hand to talk about both copies of Fredtime Stories and extra copies will be available. This event will take place at the NY Mills Public Library on Monday, March 11 at 6:30 p.m. The event is free to attend and open to the public. Preregistration is available online at www.nympubliclibrary.org or by calling the library at 385-2436.
