NYM county garage reroofing approved

The Otter Tail County Board of Commissioners recently approved a bid to reroof the county garage near New York Mills.

County commissioners, on Feb. 27, awarded the 2024 County Highway Department brush, weed and tree clearing low quotes to Carr’s Tree Service, Inc., of Otter Tail city in eastern Otter Tail County.

Brush control amounts to $50,365, weed control will total $38,412 and tree maintenance comes in at $53,355. The contract runs through Dec. 31, 2024, approved by the five-person Otter Tail County Board of Commissioners.

Mills county garage reroofing approved

A motion by County Commissioner Wayne Johnson of Pelican Rapids and seconded by Commissioner Bob Lahman of Perham was unanimously carried in support of a county contract for architectural and construction administration services with Widseth.

This was in the amount of $14,200 for highway department garage number 20 reroofing in New York Mills. Widseth has offices in Alexandria, Bemidji, Brainerd/Baxter, Crookston and Duluth.

Geotechnical design services approved

A motion by County Commissioner Bob Lahman of Perham and seconded by Dan Bucholz of Parkers Prairie was unanimously carried to authorize a contract for a stabilized full depth reclamation design agreement with Braun Intertec Corporation, Minneapolis.

The financial total is up to $29,818 for Highway 52 geotechnical design services north of Deer Creek and east of Ottertail city.
