Deadline to register for Day of Caring is April 17

On Friday, April 26, Day of Caring volunteers will help senior citizens, military veterans, people with special circumstances (an illness, injury, or special need), and nonprofit and community organizations with light home yard projects.  

Projects within New York Mills city limits are eligible for this event and may include raking of lawns, garden cleaning, trimming of hedges and trees and window washing with other jobs considered. Volunteers will work between 8:30–11:30 a.m. The deadline to sign up for the NY Mills Day of Caring is April 17. 

NY Mills Senior citizens, military veterans or others with a special circumstance: If you are in need of an extra hand, fill out the application by visiting the United Way online at www.UWOTW.org, or picking up a paper application at NY Mills City Hall office.
