The New York Mills VFW recently hosted an Illustrating America poster contest. First place winners from each division was sent to the regional competition. Students in grades 3-8 were eligible to participate in the contest and a total of 117 entries were submitted to the local VFW #3289 Auxiliary. Above: Sixth through eighth grade division winners include: Keira Nest (first place), Abigaile Berndt (second place), Aiden Schneider (third place), Dolly Tumberg, Gemma Greenwaldt (honorable mention), Landon Hotchkiss (honorable mention) and Oakley Kern (honorable mention). Below: Third through fifth grade division winners include: Kylie Weller (third place), Ella Saewert (second place), Annabelle Bernu (honorable mention), Dolly Tumberg (VFW Auxiliary), Esta Lien (honorable mention) and Avah Mast (honorable mention).
