On Saturday, March 16 the New York Mills speech team competed at the Parkers Prairie speech meet. With only six members, the speech team tied for third place in overall team sweepstakes, but lost the tie-break to Staples-Motley. 

Individual finishes include: 

*Simon Resing took first place in Informative Speaking 

*Payton Lausten took second place in Prose Interpretation

*Brooke Sonsalla took third place in Original Oratory

*Brooke Sonsalla took third place in Discussion

*Soren Stout took fourth place in Discussion

*Marissa Uselman earned a Superior in Informative Speaking

*Garrett Uselman earned a Superior in Humorous Interpretation
