Members of the New York Mills speech team took second place at the Border West Invitational on March 23.
On Saturday, March 23, the New York Mills speech team competed at the Border West Invitational in Wheaton. The team placed second in team sweepstakes.
Individual finishes include:
• Brooke Sonsalla first place in Discussion
• Brooke Sonsalla first place in Original Oratory
• Simon Resing second place in Informative Speaking
• Payton Lausten second place in Prose Interpretation
• Elijah Geiser third place in Poetry Interpretation
• Anika Mursu sixth place in Prose Interpretation
• Shaila Roberts sixth place in Original Oratory
• Julia Johnson sixth place in Great Speeches
