Sheriff deputies, on May 7, reported two accidents in Otter Tail County.

The first accident took place May 5 in Rothsay at the intersection of SE Second Avenue and South Center Street at 2:44 p.m. This was a minor vehicle crash with non-life-threatening injuries. A woman was transferred to the hospital in Breckenridge.

The second accident took place at 4:46 p.m. on May 5 in Tumuli Township (Dalton area). This was a dirt bike accident that resulted in non-life-threatening injuries. 

“The dirt bike operator was riding on private property and was wearing protective equipment,” said a sheriff deputy. 

The injured person was treated locally and later was flown by air ambulance for a higher level of care as a precaution. The county sheriff’s office was assisted by Dalton Rescue, Ashby Ambulance, Ringdahl Ambulance and Life Link.
