The Bluffton Braves won three games, including a pair of games against Perham, last weekend. 

After blanking Henning 10-0 on Friday night, the Braves charged back on Sunday with a 5-0 and 3-2 win over Perham at home. 

This weekend the Braves will host the New York Mills Millers on Sunday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. in their lone action of the week. 

Friday

The Bluffton Braves defeated the Henning North Stars by a score of 10-0 on Friday night. 

The game started as a pitcher’s duel as the first 18 hitters were retired in order, before Isaac Hamann opened the top of the fourth inning with a solo home run. The Braves then loaded the bases with a pair of walks and a single, before Kyle Dykhoff connected with an RBI single and Tyson Barthel hit an sacrifice fly to left field to make the score 3-0 in favor of Bluffton.

Bluffton made the score 5-0 in the top of the sixth inning when Connor Davis hit a two-run home run and the Braves added a pair of runs in the top of the seventh inning to make the score 8-0.

Jayden Harig broke up a no hitter for Bluffton with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning, before Nick Lindberg secured Henning’s second hit with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning. 

The Braves tacked on two runs in the top of the ninth inning to end the game by a score of 10-0. 

Josh Dykhoff picked up the win on the mound as he pitched four innings and gave up just one walk and struck out three hitters. Dustin Geiser pitched four scoreless innings and gave up just one hit, while striking out four hitters. Kyle Dykhoff pitched a scoreless ninth inning for Bluffton.

Nick Trosdahl took the loss on the mound for Henning as he went seven innings and gave up five earned runs. Nick Lindberg pitched two innings and gave up a pair of unearned runs. 

Payton Rondesvedt led the way offensively for Bluffton as he went 2-4 with three runs scores, while Davis finished with three RBIs for the Braves.

Sunday

Bluffton swept a doubleheader with Perham on Sunday afternoon by scores of 5-0 and 3-2. 

In the first game of the day, Payton Rondesvedt was solid on the mound for the Braves as he gave up just two hits, both in the fifth inning and retired the final seven hitters in order to come away with a 5-0 win. 

The Braves wasted little time in getting on the scoreboard as the opening four hitters of the bottom of the first inning all reached base on a single, scoring on a Connor Davis RBI single, Logan Pulju fielder’s choice and a Cody Geiser two-run single. The Braves added a fifth run in the bottom of the sixth inning on a Rondesvedt RBI single.

In the second game of the day, Bluffton completed the two game sweep by securing a 3-2 win over Perham. The Braves broke a scoreless tie in the third inning when Kyle Dykhoff led off the inning with a single and later crossed the plate to score. They added another run in the fourth inning on a Wyatt Hamann sacrifice fly to right field and ended the scoring in the seventh inning when Hamann led off the inning and would later cross the plate on a Cody Barthel double. 

Isaac Hamann picked up the win on the mound as he went 4 1/3 innings and gave up just one run. Tyson Barthel pitched the final 2 2/3 innings and have up just one run of his own.
