Safety will take center stage during an open house at the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday.

The event, which is being hosted by the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office at the Ottertail Operations Center in Ottertail, will include representatives from a number of county and state safety organizations.

The day will include demonstrations, displays and exhibits from everything from the sheriff’s office, water patrol, posse members, DARE, ambulance, LREC, State patrol, K-9 unit, fire departments and much more. The open house is free to attend and geared to people of all ages. In past years, local youth were even able to tour some of the ambulances, fire trucks and meet some of the emergency personnel who serve the greater Otter Tail County area.

The Ottertail Chamber of Commerce and City of Ottertail will also be serving hot dogs and beverages throughout the day.

The open house will be held from 12-2 p.m. at 469 East Main Street in Ottertail.
