Connor Davis hit a pair of two-run home runs and Austin Redemske hit a solo home run as the Bluffton Braves made quick work of the Nimrod Gnats by a score of 11-1 on Sunday afternoon. The Braves ended the game by the 10-run rule in the eighth inning, but remained in control of the game throughout the contest as Payton Rondestvedt gave up just eight hits and one run over eight innings of action. 

Davis put the Braves on the scoreboard in the bottom of the second inning when Justin Dykhoff led off the inning with a single, but he didn’t stay there long as Davis followed
with his first of two home runs in the game. 

Logan Pulju made the score 3-1 in the fourth inning when he hit an RBI double to bring Josh Dykhoff across the plate to score with two outs. 

Redemske added another run in the fifth inning when he hit a solo home run with one out and Davis put the Braves in front 6-1 with his second home run of the game. 

Bluffton ended the game by the 10-run rule in the eighth inning when Gabe Gesier led off the eighth inning with a walk, before Redemske hit a single and Rondestvedt connected with a one out double. Josh Dykhoff reached by a walk, before Cody Geiser ended the game by the 10-run rule when he reached on an error and Dykhoff scored on the play.

Other than a first inning run, Rondestvedt kept the Gnats off the scoreboard as he went all eight innings and gave up just eight hits and did not walk a batter in the win. He also struck out eight hitters in the win.
