The third seeded New York Mills 14U Babe Ruth baseball team advanced to the state tournament after defeating sixth seeded Perham 8-0 and second seeded Wadena-Deer Creek 10-9 last week. NY Mills went on to defeat top seeded Menahga by a score of 8-7 in extra innings to win the district title. The state tournament kicks off on Thursday in Paynesville.
