Last Tuesday the New York Mills Eagles cross country team headed to Wadena’s Whitetail Run Golf Course to compete in the Johanna Olson Memorial Meet and ran well on a hot windy day. 

Elijah Geiser was our top male finisher and Audrey Weller was NY Mills’ top female finisher. Others competing were: Maggy Weller, Jacob Thorsrud,  Austin Geiser and Dawson Seelhammer. Also, eighth grader Loren Underdahl finished his first ever cross country race.

After the meet, Coach Greg Esala said, “it is great to see these athletes out there working hard to do their best. They are self motivated and it shows as they are all improving.”

The Eagle runners will travel to Ada on Thursday to compete on a flat fast course.
