Event to be held after home football games this fall

As school begins another year and the football season kicks off, Trinity Lutheran Church in New York Mills is hosting open youth room again following the home football games this year.

Lorliee and Jeffrey Krosch are leaders of the organized events again this year and said there will be some new additions to the after-school programming this year.

To kick off the year, an Open Youth Room will be held on September 13 after the football game. The events are open for students in 7-12th grades to come and hang out in a safe atmosphere. The events begin with a devotion and move on to games, snacks and is largely student-lead during the evening.

Krosch said that they will be serving ice cream floats, some new snacks including a popcorn machine will be available, as well as games, fun and group devotions as usual.

Open youth room will be held on September 13, 20, as well as events in December, January and February to make up a total of eight events this school year.

Students from all backgrounds are invited to attend for fellowship, fun, and making some new friends.
