The Otter Tail County Commissioners invite all community members to the upcoming open house at the Government Services Center, 500 West Fir Avenue in Fergus Falls. The event will take place on Monday, Sept. 16, from 7-9 p.m.

This open house is an opportunity for residents to engage with their county commissioners and learn more about the various initiatives and projects in the Fergus Falls area. It is important to note that this is not a County Board of Commissioners meeting but an event designed to foster community interaction and understanding of county services.

Commissioner Lee Rogness, representing District 5, encourages Fergus Falls residents and others interested in Otter Tail County to attend.

“We look forward to visiting with our neighbors and answering questions from our community members. This is a great way to learn more about your county government and how it serves you,” said Commissioner Rogness.

During the event, community members can ask county commissioners questions directly following brief presentations by county department staff. Employees from various service areas will be on hand to share information and answer questions about their respective departments.

The public is encouraged to attend and visit with the county highway engineer and new employees from the solid waste department. Additionally, representatives from the Community and Economic Development team will be available to provide information on local opportunities related to housing, childcare, workforce development, and more.

All are welcome to stop by, ask questions, and learn how Otter Tail County is working to support its residents. Light refreshments will be served.
