Maggy and Audrey Weller competed at the Pillager Invite last week.

The New York Mills cross country runners competed on an extremely hilly course at the Pillager meet last Thursday.  

Jacob Thorsrud and Elijah Geiser lead a pack of runners at last week’s Pillager Invite.

In the junior high race, Loren Underdahl took 14th, while in the varsity girls’ race, Audrey Weller placed 20th, and in the varsity boys’ race Elijah Geiser finished 14th and Jacob Thorsrud 16th.

After the meet Coach Greg Esala said, “our runners put in great effort as they ran this course. This course is the most challenging one we run and they all did well.”

The Eagles next meet is hosted by Bertha-Hewitt and is on Tuesday at Double Eagle Golf Course in Eagle Bend.
